INDIA IN MY DREAMS. Abhijith Mohanan (5037)
I have a dream in India.I have several dreams in India and I want it fullfilled.India after all these years still face many problems. There exist a lot of discrimination and inequality among people of our nation.Discrimination exist on the basis of caste, money, power, politics, gender, and so on.
I want an India where all those newly born boy or girl shall here for the rest of their lives as equally important. An India of my dream is that any person whether black, white or medium complexion do not have to face any difficulty on the basis of their colour. An India where money is not the one that really matter. All Indian have sufficient money for living. No person is discriminated as wealthy or poor, both are of equal respect. There shall no exist any discrmination on the basis of upper class or lower. Nobody would question or enquire about others cost or religion.Politics shall not be a crisis for another type of discrimination in the society.
These dreams are hard to achieve but still.I have a hope that one day atleast few will come into reality. One day an India of my dream will surely come

INDIA OF MY DREAMS -Aseel Biju John(5019)
“I shall work for an India in which the poorest shall feel that it is their country,
in whose making they have an effective voice,
an India in which there shall be no high class and low class of people,
an India in which all communities shall live in perfect harmony.
There can be no room in such an India for the curse of untouchability or the curse of intoxicating drinks and drugs.
Women will enjoy the same rights as men.
This is the India of my dreams.”
- Mahathma Gandhi
I dream of an India where we are no longer bounded by the tendacles of cast and religion but where each one respect and understand one another.
The cities shall never be dumpster but well planned paradise and villahes thrive as the soul of our country. The country must provide every citizen a chance to voluntarily serve in the military for short period.
The education system must inculcate national as well as regional history and culture, science having a strong foundation in basic education, the entire system under proper administration. The children must be taught good values from early ages.
In my dream India never discriminates the society by creating reservation on the basis of cast but either make the education completely free or provide aid on the basis of wealth.
In my dreams a person whether he be Christian, Hindu, Muslim or any other believer sitting together in a building praying together.
India must attain self suffiency in every aspect and the past must be integrated with present to step to the future together.
My dream is an India where a girl is given equal oppertunity like the boys and there is no stigma.
This is my India for which I shall devote myself, so that my children shall live in the true heaven, which the country was.

MY DREAM INDIA- Akhiyamol Benny- 5012
MY DREAM INDIA
India the country which we live is rich with various types of custom, traditions, religion, language, and many other diversities. It got its independence in 1947 by the great freedom fighter as a result of their restless work for many years. The great The great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru has the dreams of India becoming a Country where all men and women should be treated equally, no discrimination based on caste, creed, or colour. All the country men should be unified under an umbrella
of brotherhood.
But now being in the present scenario if we compare the present with their DREAM INDIA , it will be disappointing to an extent. All the political violence, discrimination, wars, child abuses, poverty, social disparities posses a huge threat to our nation. Is this the freedom that we really possess ?
No definitely not,
If I would get a chance to dream over India. I would like to add of the following dreams with the dreams of our social reformers..
• I have a dream where there is a single religion called humans and a single belief of oneness exist.
• I have a dream where everyone should be treated equally before law.
• I have a dream where there exist no poor, no one should die out of hunger.
• I have a dream where the environment n development should go hand in hand.
• I have a dream where the unblemished traditions, customs and beliefs remains intact and unique.
• I have a dream where the basic needs n education for children is ensured.
• I have a dream where all the citizens should understand the true meaning of ought that we take.
• I have a dream where the resources should be equal distributed among all.
• I have a dream where the government being the sound of the common people.
• I have a dream where the nation should love and respect the women an also ensures their freedom.
Let our upcoming generation be blessed to live in a country with all its prosperity..

India of My Dreams - Sreevidya M V - 5008
India of My Dreams
The harsh reality in India is, majority of the population in India won’t send their Girl child outside, after 8′O clock.
That's because, India is not a super safe place for women, during the night.
I have a dream of corruption free India. A place where everyone works hard and gets what he deserves. A place that gives equal opportunity to everyone based on their knowledge and skills irrespective of their caste, colour, creed or religion. A place where people don’t use other people around to get accomplish their selfish motives.
I have a dream to create an environment where every child, irrespective of his/her economic status -- rich or poor -- will have access to quality education
I have a dream that I'll be able to live in a nation where human are valued more than cattles
I have a dream that one day, women will be able to live here without the fear of night
I have a dream that no one starves to death
I have a dream that one day all rape victims will be able to live a normal lives as others

INDIA IN A DREAM.....
The alarm cried out that it was 5.30 in the morning and thus time to wake up. Few minutes later, fading moon and early birds saw HER in Yoga, inhaling fresh dawn air, on her terrace. Steaming tea was already kept near the bed where her husband and two kids were dozing off. The same was done in the adjacent rooms where her paralyzed father, and 70yrs old mother in law (mamma) were sleeping.
30 minutes later exotic smells of dosa, chutney and curries filled the house. She finished her cooking and tidied up her old father in no time but with atmost care. By the time she got ready, the tiffin boxes were already packed by her mamma. It was her husband who got the kids ready for school. Being a doctor himself he was very strict in health. He too got ready within a few minutes, they ate together and went to out their works and studies.
On the way one of the kids,by mistake, dropped a chocolate wrapper on the road. To their surprise she made her pappa to stop the car,got out and picked it up and dropped it in the nearby waste bin.The parents felt proud of their daughter.
It was week before the city was declared THE CLEANEST CITY IN INDIA.
While in the highway they could see vehicles stopping before the zebra line each time
a pedestrian stepped on it. Seconds passed by when they heard a loud cracking voice .It was from the other side of the road where a car was accidently hit by a truck and the passengers seemed to be seriously injured.Unlike the early times when people used to runaway or hesitate to help someone, the lorrydriver got out, checked the car and with the help of some people rushed them to hospital.
Her husband too helped them. The kids watched the whole scene and learnt a great lesson from her father'd deed.
The injured passengers were admitted in the nearby hospital where her husband served.
Knowing about the patients' financial condition from their relatives and how the huge hospiatal bill would become a blow to them,he reduced the bill amount considerably on his own account.Even the consulting fee was avoided.
It was 7.30 pm when after the day's busy schedule he reached home. The cup of coffee, mamma made for him, tasted much sweeter when the news was out from th telephone that one of his friends(from a lower caste society)secured Post Doctoral Fellowship from Jawaharlal Nehru University,India.Without a second thought he rang up the friend and congragulated him.
The clock announced 8.30 pm but she wasn't home yet.But the family didn't worry that it was India ,the land of values.Meanwhile she had already missed her usual and last bus and was walking alone on the road. Her cool attitude turned to a slight tension when she was to pass by a group of boys .But they, seeing a woman walking alone in the night gently stopped her, inquired and then took effort to drop her at her home. They felt contented that their 'sister' was safe.
She reached home and the famliy ate together .It was thursday and so it was her 'turn' to clean the dishes and pack up the kitchen. The last couple of hours witnessed the family praying together, chatting with the sick father and together watching television.
They felt a sense of proud when the T.V announced the happy news that 'INDIA was declared,by the UNO,as the first country to attain professional qualifications for ALL her political leaders. With this happiness they went to bed.The moon looked to earth to see that every family in the world, especially in India, was sleeping with the same happiness.
Suddenly a cup of water splashed on her face accompanied by cracking sound of morning advise ''Wake up you idiot...Its already 4.30 ...You're a girl and have to be in rules..''
SHE woke up to the boring, unsecured girl life, still in the remnants of the dream.........
''WILL SUCH AN INDIA BE JUST A DREAM ALWAYS...WILL IT COME TRUE???''
Questions started echoing within her.She got up brushed, swept the courtyard, washed the clothes and thus dissolved into 'a girl's duties' while her brothers went out for school.

India Of My Dream
William Dement said, “Dreaming permits each and everyone of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.” He says that sometimes this insanity can be fruitful and sometimes very infectious and sometimes very delectable and delicious. It is in many ways necessary for a country like India to be insane and dream as it is a bigger crime not to dream than to dare to dream.
While talking about India on my dreams, its quite a wide topic. There is so much to dream about India; so much to cherish, so much to cheer, so much to hate and so much to desire about it. The issue is what should be penned and what should be omitted. This is a very emotional topic, too close to my heart as India, my motherland that has given me so much that I will forever remain in her debt.
India is an ancient country but a young nation and we, Indians are united and are proud of our rich culture and rich heritage, proud of secular democracy, proud of its vastness, its diversity and proud of its rivers, mountains, plains, plateaus and deserts.Like Gandhiji, I also dream of India where there will be no inequality, poverty, social injustice, illiteracy, gender discrimination, social oppression, corruption, casteism and communalism and people will have an improved and good quality of life. These are the areas where we have achieved a success and that too a major one. We are able to strengthen India as a nation by strengthening the Indian unity politically, economically and emotionally and pushing forward the process of nation-in-the-making.
However, we still suffer from the social diseases of casteism, communalism and regionalism. We need to work proactively to eliminate these evils of our society. Regionalism is a serious threat that has recently taken an ugly shape. People resort to regionalism citing the difference of their cultures from others.Apart from these casteism, poverty etc. the quality of life of masses in India is another major area of neglect as their physical and social needs have not been met even at minimally desired level. Whatever progress has been made in this respect has been tardy and inadequate.
We also lack in literacy. Good education is the only wealth which we can provide to our next generation. Building up a educated generation should be the first priority or responsibility of each citizen.I dream of India where there will be 100% literacy and jobs available in each city and people will not have to migrate to other cities. I dream of India where people will be more disciplined and will care for others. And such a generation can only be created by providing them with good education and thus fostering their personality both as an individual, citizen and moreover as a good human being.
No doubt we still have ‘promises to keep and miles to go…’ We still face the challenges of poverty, diseases, illiteracy, inequality, social backwardness and gender and caste discrimination and oppression.I hope that India will achieve what it deserves and what it deserves will depend on the dreams of people of India, as millions of people who somehow eke out a living also dream differently and for different things.Indian and frame our policies for the uplifting and welfare of the people of India. We have achieved a lot and we are dreaming to achieve more. I dream of a shining India, a vibrant democracy and a secular nation taking centre-stage in the comity of nations.I dream of an India which will fly high as its flag does with pride and dignity. Moreover I dream about an India which changes itself from "DEVELOPING" to "DEVELOPED" !
