THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING
-Norman Vincent Peale
The Power of Positive Thinking is a famous inspirational book written by Norman Vincent Peale. He is a 20th century writer. He was the pastor at Marble Collegiate Church for over 52 years. He and his wife, Ruth, founded the Guideposts magazine in 1945. Peale’s life was subject to a movie named as ‘One Man’s Way’ in 1964. He was also one among the world’s most recognized motivational speakers at that time.
The main theme of this book is faith in oneself. Without faith in ourselves we will be a big zero. Faith is the first step towards success. This will allow good things to happen. The book acts as a guide to enhance our self esteem and thus conquer success. He coined the idea of the book from his own life experience. He understood that it was his inferiority complex that held him back. As a result he now preached about the need of having a positive attitude which will lead to success. Our inferiorities will not take us anywhere. We should be bold enough to face the challenges of life. Through his book he tries to highlight prayer as the greatest energy in the universe and the link between people’s thoughts, feelings and actions. He also says that perseverance is the key to success. This book, definitely, is a perfect motivator that will boost the self confidence in you.
