India of My Dreams - Sreevidya M V - 5008

                  India of My Dreams

                                            Sreevidya M V-5008

India, the world's largest democratic and secular country...the country which has the rich cultural heritage of more than 3000 years.

India, a country that boasts of high values, morals and traditions, is ironically faced with the problem of corruption. Money and power has ruled men and it has come to a stage where if common man needs any kind of help from the government sector or business arena, you too have to end up taking the corrupt route.Though lots of speeches go around speaking about morality, behind the doors it is money that rules. For any kind of things to happen, one has to know the back door and spend great amounts of money to get the work done.

Every single day single women, young girls, mothers and women from all walks of life are being assaulted, molested, and violated. The streets, public transport, public spaces in particular have become the territory of the hunters. While the ones already hunted down weep in silence or in disdain, the rest fight their way to a basic life with dignity.

The harsh reality in India is, majority of the population in India won’t send their Girl child outside, after 8′O clock.

That's because, India is not a super safe place for women, during the night.

I have a dream of corruption free India. A place where everyone works hard and gets what he deserves. A place that gives equal opportunity to everyone based on their knowledge and skills irrespective of their caste, colour, creed or religion. A place where people don’t use other people around to get accomplish their selfish motives.

I have a dream to create an environment where every child, irrespective of his/her economic status -- rich or poor -- will have access to quality education

I have a dream that I'll be able to live in a nation where human are valued more than cattles

I have a dream that one day, women will be able to live here without the fear of night

I have a dream that no one starves to death

I have a dream that one day all rape victims will be able to live a normal lives as others

MY DREAM INDIA -ALPHL MARIA JOSEPH 5005

Ladies, People ,My Indians…
Its indeed an honour to stand and watch the glory of Tiranga, whirling against the air currents. Its indeed an honour for me to witness another year of the glorious victor- The 70th independence day.
A day to look into the past of struggles and determination of the empowering leaders . A day to look  forward to the new hopes of a modern India.
70 years ago,a great Indian rose from the dark and spread a new beam of light-The light of Independence. India was engrossed in happiness. She embrassed the new changes introduced in her family. But she was wrong. She was wrong about her dreams. She was wrong about her people
70 years later, we are still in the dark.we are still in the midst of injustice and inequality .But I say to you today, that even though we are still struggling for a new today and yet to struggle for a new tomorrow, I still have a dream.
I have a dream that one day, this nation will be given the title “The 1st country to achieve cent percent equality”

I have a dream that one day the nation will be corruption free where all politicians irrespective of their parties stand for the right of the people.

I dream of an India where no man will be killed for the food they eat.

I dream of an India where every roads irrespective of village or city must be developed.

I dream of an India where the Bihar city will  be as developed as the Vishakhapatnam city.

I have a dream that one day my son and daughter will live in the society where both will be given equal opportunities in every phrase of life.

I dream of an India where no more Jishas or Nirbhayas or Soumyas would become the front news of every media for being sexually harassed.

I dream of an India where people would protest against injustice through actions and not through statuses of their whatsapp .

I dream of an India where no more Madhus shall become  the victim of extreme brutality.

Moreover I say to you today that; “the day when a woman can walk freely on the roads at night, the day we can say that India has achieved Independence.”

INDIA OF MY DREAM - ANCY POULOSE - 5041

INDIA OF MY DREAM –ANCY POULOSE 5041

Since the last 70 years of independence, even though freedom and democracy was achieved, many of India’s dreams were left unachieved.

India of my dream would be a place where all the people from different caste, religion, and area would all join their hands together at one heart.

I dream of an India where people would not be discriminated on the basis of their color, creed, caste or religion. In our country, discrimination takes place even at the school, workplace on the basis of the color. India in my dream would treat all people equally.

I dream of an India where every citizen is educated. Those living below the poverty line do not have any idea about the importance of education in their lives. They do not realize that one of the reasons behind their poverty is the lack of education .The government must ensure that more number of people are having access to education by promoting the right to free and compulsory education for children and even for adults.

I dream of an India where one is able to find a deserving employment opportunity. The opportunities are either limited or do not pay enough to the deserving candidates. This may be because of the weak economic growth in India. Enough opportunities should be available for the large number of youth in our country.

I dream of an India where women are given due respect and treated as equal to men.  The birth of a girl child is still considered as a curse in many parts of the country. At some places, girls are not encouraged to go for higher studies. They are forced to get married even at a very young age. Many of the jobs in our country are still reserved only for the men.Even at work, the wages paid to women are lesser than that paid to men. They often do not get paid for the work done by them.

I dream of an India where the government is more sensitive towards the safety and security of the people. I dream of India where the ministers are dedicated wholly towards the development of the country and its citizens.  Instead of making an effort to serve the country, the political leaders are busy filling their own pockets. A country free from corruption thinks about the situation of the people and starts working for the betterment of its citizens.

I firmly believe that India will be able to achieve these dreams in the future.
